Changing Priority Categories Served Under Order of Selection

DECLARATION CHANGING PRIORITY CATEGORIES SERVED UNDER ORDER OF SELECTION FOR VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES

Whereas, on August 18, 1995, the Director of the Department of Rehabilitation (Department) declared that the Department is under Order of Selection for Vocational Rehabilitation Services and determined that no priority categories could then be served, and,

Whereas, on July 8, 1999, the Acting Chief Deputy Director declared that priority categories that include all most severely disabled individuals, regardless of the date of application, and severely disabled individuals with an application date on or before July 1, 1999, shall be served effective July 22, 1999, and,

Whereas, the Department is currently without a Director and I have been appointed Acting Chief Deputy Director, and,

Whereas, I have reviewed projected resources and projected costs, as provided by Title 9, California Code of Regulations, Sections 7052 and 7053.5, and determined that projected resources are adequate to serve individuals in the priority categories that include all most severely disabled individuals, regardless of the date of application, and severely disabled individuals with an application date on or before June 30, 2000,

Now, therefore, I, Karyn A. Meyreles, Acting Chief Deputy Director of the Department of Rehabilitation, declare that priority categories that include all most severely disabled individuals, regardless of the date of application, and severely disabled individuals with an application date on or before June 30, 2000, shall be served effective September 1, 1999.

Dated: August 18, 1999

KARYN A. MEYRELES
Acting Chief Deputy Director
Department of Rehabilitation
